Writing Warmups
A touchstone, a return to your words and interior life.
Once weekly, we’ll meet on Zoom to practice prompt-based, timed writing exercises designed to be generative, rhythmic, low-stakes, and fun. Think of this like a writing aerobics class; a place to improve creative circulation, strengthen and stretch narrative muscles, and connect with your voice. You’ll be surprised by what emerges on the page and inspired by the company of others. Sharing is optional but highly encouraged. All writers are welcome. This January, I’m offering both a morning and an evening cohort to accommodate more schedules.
Part writing group, part weather report, part ceremony, part energetic reset, this gathering of like-hearts will leave you feeling inspired, ready to bloom in the month ahead.
Writing Warmups may plant a seed of something larger, the beginnings of a new essay or project, or they can be enjoyed on their own.
Each session offers structured prompts, time to write, and sharing. There is no homework, no critique, and no pressure to arrive with anything polished or prepared. Instead, the focus is on momentum, presence, and discovery.
Make the practice your own…
All writers are welcome. You can join for a month at a time, return whenever you like, and make the practice your own.
