1:1 Writing Support | Mentorship |Private Instruction

Monthly Mentorship
$1,250.00 every month

Three-month, one-on-one writing mentorship for those who want a closer, more consistent relationship with their work.

Each week, we’ll meet to talk through your writing, your questions, and what is unfolding on the page. I’ll read your work closely and respond with both in-line notes and big-picture guidance. This one-on-one mentorship is for writers who want steady companionship, close attention, and meaningful momentum in their work.

Whether you’re in the middle of a project, circling something new, or finding your way back to a writing practice, we’ll shape a rhythm that supports both the work itself and the person doing it.

What is included…

We’ll meet once a week over Zoom for a 60-minute session. These conversations are a space for real-time engagement with your writing and your creative life. Some weeks we’ll dive closely into your pages or work through stuck points; other weeks we can strategize, dream, and reimagine what’s possible for your work.

Weekly 1:1 Meetings

You may submit up to 10 new or revised pages each week. I’ll read deeply and respond with thoughtful in-line comments, statements of meaning, and suggestions. I’ll also offer bigger-picture feedback on structure, tone, voice, and theme, along with developmental notes to support revision, clarity, and confidence.

Feedback & Workshopping

I’ll share personalized reading recommendations like books, essays, and craft resources along with prompts and exercises tailored to your interests, intentions, and current questions as a writer.

Curated Resources

We’ll use a shared digital accountability document to log your writing sessions and reflect on your process over time. I’ll check in regularly, and this living document will help shape our conversations and support steady, sustainable momentum.

Accountability & Progress-tracking

Between sessions, you’ll have access to me via text and email for quick check-ins, encouragement, and guidance as things come up in your day-to-day practice.

Testimonials

  • "I made more progress in three months working with Kate than I've made in the past three years trying to pursue narrative nonfiction storytelling. Kate is so passionate about the process and brings such an abundance of knowledge, imagination and resources to every conversation. She helped me think about my writing in entirely new ways, and guided me toward multiple breakthroughs both in my process and my perspective on writing. I am deeply grateful that our paths crossed, because working with Kate changed my artistic life." - Devin L., March 2026
